It's time for our July SonShiner's gathering! From Political Prisoner to Passionate Beekeeper. Vadim Manzhous, the owner & operator of Holy Bee Christian Trust has been working with bees since the late 1980's. He learned about producing honey in his former home, Kiev, Ukraine.

Since moving to the United States in 1990 when he sought political asylum, he has found a life of sweetness. But that has not always been the case for him as his life has been full of twists and turns and includes time spent as a political prisoner in the former USSR.

Join us on July 15 at 10 AM as he educates us on the almost "perfect" food - honey - and shares his personal experience living in a communist country.

It's time for our June SonShiner's gathering! Helping Thru Horses is dedicated to rescuing the lives of horses and people. This ministry was founded in 2017 by Troy Freeman with the focus to rescue, for rehabilitation and restoration of both horses and people with a Godly purpose. Helping Thru Horses is based upon the core principle that trust must be earned through hard work and consistency of one's actions and words. They believe that given the right tools and support, horses and people young and old can thrive and have a Godly purpose for their lives regardless of their emotional wounds or life's challenges. The Whosoevers is a worldwide movement that is centered around reaching youth for Christ, through skate tours, music festivals, schools, prisons, rehabs, and detention centers. The Whosoevers Full Send movie documents their Boise Skate tour filmed in the summer of 2020 during the height of the Coronavirus pandemic. It shows how God changed and transformed the lives of youth who were hurting, depressed, suicidal, and being quarantined with abusers because of the lockdowns. Join us as we celebrate and give thanks to the Lord for Ventura County's decision to drop the lawsuit against Godspeak! Jesus said in John 3:16 “For God so loved the WORLD…”. and later, His LAST words to the disciples before He ascended to heaven in Matthew 28:18 "Go therefore[ and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Our God is a God who LOVES all of His creatures. He has a message He wants to deliver and a missionary heart that He wants us to possess. He has entrusted us with that message of hope to take to the World.

Missions Minded is an opportunity to learn and participate in what God is going around the world. Every other month you can get to know a few of the missionaries we are supporting in various parts of the world, the work they are doing, and become aware of you can get involved in a deeper way with the work God is doing through them. Join us on Sunday, April 25 for our kick off event as we take a look at what God is doing through our Missionaries in Europe.

• Come get to to know our missionaries in Moldova and Cypress and hear what God is doing through them

• A light middle-eastern-european meal (donations accepted and proceeds will go towards the mission we are highlighting) will will set the tone for the evening. We are Calorie Chapel after all. This will be followed by a brief devotion on the subject of missions and finally, slides and testimonies and Lord willing a live Q and A with the missionaries on the ground. We will finish the evening in prayer for our missionaries.

Our SonShiner's Ministry is back! Our monthly gatherings will start on April 22 with a special presentation by Pastor Jerry. Since we're living in tumultuous times, join us as our own Pastor Jerry shares Self-Defense Awareness for Seniors. Because of his expansive experience as a Supervising Criminal Investigator for the Los Angeles City Attorney's office for 28 years, a Reserve LAPD Chaplain, and a Level 3 Police Academy Instructor, he will be able to provide us invaluable information to help keep us safe. We are hosting a movie screening of the new Roe v. Wade movie which tells the story of the infamous abortion decision's genesis. Dr. Bernard Nathanson and Dr. Mildred Jefferson square off in a Supreme Court battle that leads to a controversial verdict on abortion. Learn the untold and little known story behind the decision that brought abortion-on-demand to America. Join us April 21 at 6 PM in the Sanctuary.
